Vista 3: SHAPE to Come
SHAPE (Social sciences, Humanities and the Arts for the people and Economy) is the next big thing. It is a tool that helps us “make sense of the human world, to value and express the complexity of life and culture, and to understand and solve global issues” (British Academy).
SHAPE’s research and skills support us to analyse, interpret, create, communicate and collaborate with rigour, clarity and energy. Together with STEM subjects, we can innovate for the benefit of everyone.
The 3 signature projects here cross disciplines & shape our upcoming forward thinking, one step at a time. In this vista, we have two STEAM-based festivals and an arts-tech dive into animation, theatre, learning & participation.
Flight: Sights, Sounds & Shows @ Shalowan (2018)
Part I of a trilogy on the Chinese concept of Tian-Di-Ren harmony among the Heavens, the Earth & Man.
In this small Lantau village, we brought immense fun, learning & participation to thousands of people through performances, talks, and activities with artists, architects, and scientists. The world-renowned Eden Project from Cornwall, UK, joined us in this uplifting event spread over two weekends and five weekdays (for schools).
